The false financial reporting、false audit evidence issued by the companies andaccounting firms can cause the lake of the confidence、the profit damage of the public,which has seriously affected the stability and development of the audit market today. Inorder to avoid a similar situation from happening again, the Governments regulatoryauthorities have been listed audit opinion shopping behavior into the scope of regulationand the related scholars begin to study it. Most of the approaches about audit opinionsshopping are confined to the change of accounting firm and the more subtle means-tobuy the audit opinion by improving the audit fees is often overlooked.This article aboutaudit opinion shopping overcomes this limitation.It turns the perspective from asingle-faceted(accounting firm switching) to the three-position(accounting firm switching、audit fees improving、not only change the accounting firm but also improve the auditfees), in order to draw the more valuable conclusions of the study.The framework of this paper is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction part. Including the research background, thesignificance of the topic, literature review, research methodology, the basic framework,and article innovation.The second part is the overview of the theory of audit opinion shopping behavior.Define the meaning of opinion shopping, analyze the causes of the audit opinionshopping and put forward three main approach about the audit opinion shopping–tochange the accounting firm, to improve the audit fees, not only change the accountingfirm but also improve the audit fees.The third part is the theoretical analysis about the ways of audit opinion shopping.Studying the impact of accounting firm switching、audit fees improving on the auditopinion shopping and make three assumptions.The fourth part is a core part of this article-empirical analysis section. After settingthe variables、designing the model and filtering the data, use the statistical analysissoftware-SPSS18.0to make the ordinal logistic regression test for the ways of auditopinion shopping. The fifth part is the conclusions and recommendations of this article. We can drawthe conclusions by the regression results the fourth part:(1) A listed company cansuccessfully purchase the audit opinion by improving the audit fees.(2) A listed companycan not purchase the audit opinion by changing the accounting firm.(3) There is nointeraction between the accounting firm switching and audit fees improving, that is tosay,the two means combined together can not also successfully purchase the auditopinion.And put forward the relevant policy recommendations for the above threeconclusions.
