As an important research aspect in tourism geography, research on the spatial structure of tourism may contribute to reveal the laws of regional differentiation of tourism system and to provide the theory basis for optimization of tourism space system. Tourism system space structure is one of the important research direction, so as tourism geography and tourism geography research towards depth. Tourism system spatial structure research has very important significance in tourism planning, development, operation and management. Currently, the study of regional and urban tourism space structure is more, the spatial structure of the whole study is relatively less, and the study of space structure differences is much less, and mainly from the development trend of tourism market, tourism resource structure, regional tourism traffic, tourism development, tourism spatial network study, etc. As Jiangsu province has abundant tourism resources, based on its powerful economic and policy support in recent years, tourism industry has been rapidly developed. This paper focuses on the analysis of thirteen prefecture-level cities’2A and above tourism spots in Jiangsu province. To study the spatial structure aggregation fractal of tourism attractions so as to reflect the objective laws of tourism attractions distribution, the writer measures each aggregation fractal dimension on spatial structure of each tourism attractions system, basing on the data of tourism attractions of thirteen prefecture-level cities in2001,2006and2010. The results are shown as follows.(1) The paper studies on tourism spatial structure evolution at home and abroad in systematically carding and evaluation, the research of spatial structure of tourist attraction aims to provide the theory and method to Jiangsu province, enrich and develop the tourism system, especially the connotation of the theory of tourism spatial structure system, enhance the value of the tourism spatial structure research, and point out that the tourism spatial structure research is of great significance for tourism development in a district.(2) The paper analyzed the tourist spatial structure characteristics based on fractal theory in13cities in Jiangsu province in different years, the results are following.①The developmental model of scenic spots of southern areas in Jiangsu transforms from point to planar on a timescale. In the south, middle and north of Jiangsu province, the tourist attractions which aggregate in the main urban zone present different rules. The rule changing from northern areas to southern areas is from pitting development model to planar development model.②By analyzing13 representative prefecture-level cities on spatial scales, it reveals that the tourism spots of each city have the characteristic of aggregation and fractal which exists three different types. In the same type of tourist attraction systems, there are differences among the changes of the values of aggregation fractal dimension in different interval.③It also shows, in terms of tourism attraction systems’spatial structure, that the density is decaying from centre tourism attractions to the surrounding hinterland.(3)The paper analyses the influence of the space structure of tourism system economy and traffic dynamic mechanism from the regional tourism competition, tourism resources, location conditions and market factors of tourism spatial structure in Jiangsu province. Based on this, the paper advances optimization goal and measures to Jiangsu province tourism system space structure, not only provides decision-making for product development, regional cooperation, and provides guidance suggestion for the sound development of tourism industry, so that Jiangsu province tourism toward the better direction.
