The development of construction industry increases the breadth and depth of practice of cost engineers, the resulting large and complex risk issues for cost engineers.Moreover, cost engineer’s practice content involves a large amount of money, so it’s very important to constraint the practicing risk for cost engineers, due to the practice of cost engineers is very professional and complex, so to practice risk constraint is also very difficult. Study on risk management of cost engineers, not only contributes to heightening the standard practice of cost engineers,improving the status of the industry and developing engineering cost consulting industry,but also benefits a lot to standard construction activity and promote the development of construction industry.This paper used theory analysis, specification and actual unifies, research methods of WBS, chart analysis, comparative analysis and other research methods, at the same time, access to a large number of relevant documents,using LT consulting firm as an example,deeply and thoroughly expounds the cost engineer in practicing process encountered various problems caused by various risks, and research how to identify the various risks so as to avoid the risk in the process of practice. According to the actual situation of China’s consulting industry, combined with domestic and foreign advanced experience of engineering cost consultation management, discussion on key points and management methods for cost engineers in engineering cost consulting services so as to explore the cost engineer in the course of practice for the control and prevention of risk management methods should be taken for LT consulting company. Finally, put forward some suggestions focused on the promotion and implementation in the future practice of cost engineers, Thereby better help the cost engineer in the engineering cost consultation industry.
