Inventory Management Strategy K Supply Chain Environment

With the development and maturing of the supply chain management, inventory management in supply chain environment is more and more valued for enterprise. Effective inventory management is to meet operation and business activities and keep the inventory at a reasonable level. It’s not only to reduce the stock funds but also storage space, to reduce management costs and accelerate cash flow, and ensure the operation and business activities won’t be impacted due to any material shortage. The object we study is the inventory management strategy in the supply chain environment, by analyzing the shortcomings and deficiencies of the traditional inventory control, combined with advanced supply chain management theory ideas and practices to explore new ideas and new direction of inventory management, then to apply VMI, a kind of advanced supply chain inventory management strategy based on the environment of K company.This article focuses on solve the problem of inventory management with planning and implementation of vendor-managed inventory in K company. While the use of the theory of supply chain management, to analyze inventory and inventory management issues and methods, in-depth discussion and study supply chain inventory control considering features of materials and suppliers. It is helpful for inventory control in manufacturing enterprise which provides effective programs and reference.The method of inventory management in K company implemented the advanced supply chain inventory management by means of Question, Analysis, Solutions. The thesis mainly including:First, introduced the meaning and application prospects for this study and summarized the research situation to deliver the main content and methods of this study. Second, elaborated theories and methods of inventory control and supply chain inventory management, to provide support and a theoretical basis for the analysis of the problem. Third, to certify the necessary for the implementation of supply chain inventory management by analysis of the inventory management situation and existing problems of K company. Then, to introduce the planning and implementation of the VMI strategy in K company to solve the inventory problems in supply chain environment, and the achievement of the implementation. Finally, mainly summarized the research of the thesis and lead the direction of further studies.
