Chattel pledge financing which is a kind of financing way is active in financialmarkets in recent years. As well as be helpful for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) using their existing inventory goods effectively, chattel pledge can also bring arich reward to financial institutions which is in this line of business. In manyinfluencing factors of chattel pledge financing, Loan-to-value ratio is very important. Itcan not only affect profits, but also can control the risk of the business. Therefore, studying Loan-to-value’s determination is very important to theoretical research andpractical operation.References of research about logistics financing from Chinese and foreign scholars, author do some try to build a set of relatively complete Loan-to-value ratio calculationmodel based on some reasonable assumptions. In the early stages of the model design,we consider factors which can influent Loan-to-value ratio in reality, such as industrycharacteristics, corporate credit, and the legal basis of chattel pledge financing. To drawstatic pledge mathematical model, this paper add mark-to-market cycle in modelestablishment and get a calculation model aim at bank’s profit maximization. Then, thearticle takes bank’s limits of losses and profits and SMEs’ core customers into accountto deepen the Loan-to-value ratio model. At the last, calculus with an example to verifythe feasibility of the calculation model as an end.Mark-to-market cycle loan-to-value ratio calculation model displayed in this paperproposes a new way of thinking. Although calculate the model is with the help ofmathematical computing software, also hope that it can be perfected in the futureresearch.
