With Apple products (e.g. iPad2and iPhone4) meet great favor throughoutthe world, the demand for Apple accessory product is getting greater and greater.Nowadays, more and more suppliers have seen the business Opportunity, andconcentrated marketing will be the tendency of the market. Also with thepromotion of products localization, the speed of new product development havebecome more and more quickly, the design of the new product have becomemore and more fashion, and the cost control of new product have been betterand better. Consequently, correlation merchants (especially their R&D institute)have been put into a higher level.According to the facts in the R&D institute of Pioneer Corporation, we startthe Lean Product Design analyze and research on the program of product design,in order to search some good theories and methods in the program of productdesign.This dissertation first explains the research background and purpose.According to the present excellent situation, many companies prepare to enterthe market of Apple accessory product. How to compete successfully in thismarket? Considering the Lean Production and Lean Product Design have achieved great progress in developed countries, why not we adapt it to theproduct designing?This dissertation explains the theory of Lean Production and Lean ProductDesign, and uses it analyzing and research the program of product design inPioneer Corporation. Several methods are introduced to achieve Lean ProductDesign, which are Design Process Reengineering, product planning, concurrentprocess, modular design, project management, cost control and total qualitymanagement.These seven methods have been introduced in this dissertation. Withanalyzing the theory and application of them, this dissertation points out theguiding significance of applying these methods to Lean Product Design. Wehave both analyzed the Lean Product Design by studying the design methods aswell as the management programs to find out a better Lean Product Designsystem.This dissertation also introduces several actual cases from the productdesign in Pioneer Corporation, which can help us analyze and find out how toapply them to the real situations.Finally, based on a general review of the above points, this articleconcluded with an optimistic predication of the Lean Product Design applicationin China in the future.
