Factors Influencing The Length Of Stay In Bali Destination According To Chinese Outbound Tourist Experiences

This paper analysis the determinants of the length of stay of Chinese taking vacations inBali Indonesia, based on a questionnaire distributed in Timor Leste and Bali Island during thewinter holiday.100respondents answered the questionnaires.All the data and information collected from this survey is presented in frequency anddescriptive statistic which are mostly57.0%Female and Male are43.0%.Based on the survey,the age of traveling to Bali mostly47.0%of30-39years. The majority of respondents thattraveled to Bali is employee40.0%and followed by businessman35.0%.The reason oftravelling to Bali mostly chose holiday or leisure68.0%, followed by culture or shopping20.0%.The duration of the stay of respondents in Bali the longer stay takes6-9days48.0%and followed by35.0%is less than5days.Based on the analyzed model of factor influencing of length of stay shows that most thetravelers will stay longer on destination attribute (sun and sand, nature (urban), culture andclimate), and the type of accommodation (4or5star hotel,3star hotel,1or2star hotel, guesthouse and campsite), the hypothesis of destination attribute and the type of accommodationare positive significant, and the hypothesis of time available and return are not importantbecause the implication statistically is not clear.To attract more tourists and get higher income the government should pay attention onthe development of tourism sector, be aware of the destination management, and pay attentionon the consumer needs, wants and perceptions. The competitiveness in tourism is also one ofthe important factors that the government should take into account.
