Green Environmental Management In Hotel Based On Development Of Coco-Cottage Resort

With the fast development of tourism in five cities in southwest part of Thailand,row upon row of hotels are constructed fast too. Meantime, concern and close attentionsto the nature environment and green hotel management are noticed by people. AlthoughCoco-Cottage Resort in Koh Ngai started late, but is developed well. So is it suitable forthe development of green hotel in Coco-Cottage Resort？ What is the situation ofdevelopment of green hotel？What is the situation of Coco-Cottage Resort and how canbe developed in aspect of greens environmental protection？The purpose of this research is to study the standards of green hotel, the greeningsituation of Coco-Cottage Resort, the existing problems and the relevant reasons.Assessment and help are also offered in order to elevate the management level of Coco-Cottage Resort.Firstly this paper introduces the originating of the topic and the background of theresearch, explains the purpose and the significance of the research, elaborates thecontent and the methods of the research, and particularizes the relevant theories ofresearch on green hotel, for examples: the concept, the standards and the developmentof green hotel. Secondly the situation of Koh Ngai and Coco-Cottage Resort is got andanalyzed by visiting Coco-Cottage Resort, interview and questions to the leaders,managers and employees in Coco-Cottage Resort. Furthermore, the problems and thecauses of the problems are found by analyzed the situation of Coco-Cottage Resort andthe comparison between the standards of green hotel and the situation of Coco-CottageResort. At last, the relevant suggestions to how to improve the level of greenmanagement in Coco-Cottage Resort are given by objective analysis, leader analysis,fund analysis and analysis of objections from customers.
