The Coal Industry Competitiveness Of Listed Companies In The Financial Perspective

Coal accounts for about70%in the energy structure in our country. For a longperiod of time, the status of coal as the main energy does not change in the future. Thecoal industry is an important foundation related to the country’s economic lifeline andenergy security. Most of the coal enterprises are large and medium-sized state-ownedenterprises. The listed company set up by integrating the large and medium-sized coalgroups, has strong industry representative. The coal industry is easily influenced bythe economic cycle and has experienced a decade of golden growth period. Due tobeing influenced by recent international economic recession and domestic economydeclining, the sales and income of the coal enterprises have different declining. Whatis worse, financial crisis also appeared in part of the coal enterprises. In order to havea good knowledge of the crise occuring in the field, improve the competitiveness ofthe coal industry, and avoid the bankrupt of the coal enterprises caused by thefinancial crisis, the financial competitiveness of coal industry listed company hasbecome an important topic.Above all, from a financial perspective to explore the competitiveness of the coalindustry listed company is very important. The paper is based on the financialperspective of the competitiveness of the listed companies in the coal industry tomake analysis and research. It also puts forward some suggestions and measures. Thefull text of the main research contents are as follows:(1) This paper expresses thebackground, framework and research methods which are based on the general thesisat home and abroad.(2)The paper also research the competitiveness by comparing theconnotation, characteristics and formation mechanism to learn the basic competitivetheory.(3) Macroeconomic environment of the coal industry, the current state of theindustry and the status of the listed companies have an overall understanding of thecoal industry and its listed companies.(4) From a financial perspective to buildcompetitiveness evaluation model, the paper draws lessons from forefathers’competitiveness evaluation system to choose suitable for the coal industrycompetitiveness index through the choice of comparison.(5) Selecting the37listedcompanies in the coal industry as a sample enterprise and using factor analysis, grayrelational analysis and cluster analyse the competitiveness of these listed companiesfrom a financial perspective. It draws relevant conclusions.(6) The above analysisconcludes the problems of the listed coal companies, and makes some suggestions.The purpose of this paper is to analyse the management environment and financial condition of the coal listed companies and find out the problems existing inthe coal listed companies. It also puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures.Coal listed companies can respond to the problems and challenges due to changes inthe internal and external environment.
