A Study On High-tech Enterprise's Core Competitiveness Evaluation Based On Grey Correlation Analysis-Enterprises Of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone As Example

Nowadays, the high-tech industry is becoming the dominant industry which promotes economic development increasingly. Developing high-tech industry plays the key role in driving Guangxi to a new road of industrialization and is the key construction industry in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. And the core competitiveness is the key to develop the high-tech enterprises.In 2008, our country approved the implementation "The Development Plan of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone." Seizing this great opportunity, Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone has made social and economic leaps and bounds in the last 3 years. However, we are short of empirical researches on specific companies in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. So, summing up the analysis of existing researches, this paper will focus on the evaluation of core competitiveness of high-tech enterprises and do some empirical researches.First of all, this paper reviews on literature and analysis the development of high-tech enterprises in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, and then presents evaluation index system for core competitiveness research. After that, the gray system theory (Grey System Theory referred to as the GST) is introduced into the paper. This theory of gray correlation analysis can be used to evaluate the core competitiveness is based on the reason that the core competitiveness evaluation system can be seemed as a gray system.There are 2 steps of empirical researches: firstly, this paper do grey relational analysis on six typical listed companies in Guangxi; secondly, do Case analysis on two high-tech enterprises in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. the results reveal that the high-tech enterprises in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone were still at middle or lower level and these enterprises should make great efforts to develop core competitiveness.Finally, the article provides five suggestions for developing the core competitiveness of high-tech enterprises in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, including the government should increasingly support the enterprises, enterprises should strengthen strategic management, more investment research and technological transformation, strengthen capital management facing various risks, to cultivate enterprise internationalization ability by using location advantages.
