With the trend of economic globalization, the increasingly fierce market competitionmakes enterprise competition become more and more intensive. In order to survive fromthe cruel competition, as well as integrating resources effectively, most of the enterprisesbegan to apply supply chain management. Focusing on the assembly systems, for exampleautomobile manufacturing, it is known that one product is often assembled from hundredsof parts, therefore one of these parts postponed or out of stock, the entire production linewill be delayed. In this regard to study how to optimize an assembly system’s operationthrough a collaborating mechanism is very meaningful. This thesis studies a delivery model composed of two-suppliers, one-supply-hub andone-manufacturer with two customize risk-sharing mechanisms between the suppliers andmanufacturer. Based on literature review of supply chain collaboration, supply uncertainty,Supply-Hub, and problems of benefits allocation among members, this thesis analyzeshorizontal inventory risk-sharing strategy among suppliers. The results show that theintroduction of this mechanism is able to reduce the cost of manufacturer as well as thetotal system, but cost of suppliers’ increases simultaneously. It indicates that this risksharing mechanism among suppliers cannot fully achieve supply chain collaboration. Therefore, the two-dimensional risk-sharing mechanism involved manufacturer isproposed. The results show that the total cost reduced significantly in comparison with thecost in the case of decentralized decision making. And the result is very close to the caseof centralized decision making. The decision-making results between the supply chainmembers have Pareto Optimality. This mechanism can promote the realization of supplychain collaboration.
