The Qinghai-Tibet plateau is known as the "third grade" earth and the "roof of the world which is the ecological source of China and Southeast Asia. In addition, the plateau is a "regulator" and "starter" for the entire northern hemisphere climate. The Tibet autonomous region (hereinafter referred to as the Tibet), occupies the main part of Qinghai-Tibet plateau. Because of the importance of the ecological status of Tibet and the ecological environment problems which has drawn great attention of the central and regional government, great measures have been taken to increase the ecological environment construction and the protection of investment in Tibet. Accordingly, Tibetan has become a national key ecological environment governance region which includes active implementation of returning farmland to forest, afforestation of barren wasteland, natural forest protection project, sand prevention, key ecological construction projects, management of nature reserves,, improving the ecological compensation mechanism, and building the national ecological security barrier. This paper is under the perspective of national ecological security barrier, and draw lessons from domestic and foreign relevant scholars about the ecological problems, resources problems, the development of grass industry, and ecology environment protection point of view by utilizing qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, and comparative analysis of relevant research methods to research the Tibet grass industry issues.Tibet is one of China’s five major pastoral areas that have124.4million hectares of natural pasture, accounting for the land area of nearly70%. Among all the areas, the usable area is about82.0519million hectares which account for21%of the national grassland area. Animal husbandry is an important industry of Tibet agriculture which is related to the life quality of the herdsman, the development of the industry, and the harmony of the boarder areas. Grassland is an important basis of the animal husbandry. According to the current situation of natural grassland in Tibet, modem grass industry should be greatly developed. At the same time, it is important to use more scientific and rational methods to utilize natural grassland resources so that the Tibet animal husbandry could be developed in a way that is sustainable. Therefore, the coordination of the development of grass industry and the local ecological environment become the focus of our research, and this thesis analyzes the Tibet grass industry present situation, existing problems and reasons. In addition, a brief introduction and conclusion about the development of grass industry in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia grassland methods will be given to further analyze the situation of Tibet animal husbandry in a horizontal comparison in order to propose six ideas for the well development of the animal husbandry in Tibet. Due to my limited knowledge, a short visiting time in Tibet, the reason that the analysis tool is relatively simple, the article may have some mistakes. I will continue to improve my thoughts in the future study and research process.
