The quick continuous development of economy worldwide in recent years brings more and more power demands and footprint of carbon dioxide as a result. Many countries and governments advocate concepts of energy saving and emission reduction and green energy which requires power industry to provide totally improved solutions systematically from power generation, power transmission and power consumption. Under this background, the early daylight finally shows up for the application development of superconductor technology which has been developed exactly100years till today. Therefore, it is very meaningful to conduct this study and discussion of marketing strategy of AMSC’s high temperature superconductor (HTS) products.This paper firstly recalled the development of superconductor technology in100years and described in detail all the possible applications of superconductor technology in power industry with its superior performance compared with conventional conductors. The paper also introduces the current status of global HTS industry including the main R&D and demonstration projects and specially highlights all the accomplishments that domestic research institutes and companies achieved in recent years.With the thorough understanding of global and domestic status of HTS industry and background information of AMSC and a series hi-tech products marketing theories and strategies such as the model of a hi-tech product entering in market, crossing the chasm of hi-tech product’s marketing and some other detailed marketing strategies, we analyzed the problems existed with AMSC marketing activities and came up with a series of marketing plan for AMSC’s HTS products and solutions, and finally promote the plan to domestic HTS counterparts including the R&D organizations and companies to speed up the adoption of HTS technology globally and domestically.
