Study On The Problems Of Landless Peasants In The Process Of Urbanization In China

The modernization is one of the most important procedures in realizing socialism of China,and it must be accompanied by the advance of urbanization. In the urbanization process of China, a special group which was called "landless peasants" was born. As the urbanization exploded since China implement the reform and opening up, the problem of landless peasants could not be ignored anymore. For comprehensively understanding the landless peasants and their problems, this paper researched and summarized their present situation, through which to know that the landless peasants’rights of life and development were damaged to a certain extent; their identity was vague because of they could not be integrated into the urban life while they had already lost their land. And with the development of the society, their problems gradually have new features, causing social problems such as illegal building, corruption, unplanned birth,"the nail" and so on. For further deeply understanding the problem of landless peasants, this paper studied in combination of theory and practice, through investigating the reality data which came from BaQiao District, Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, compared the real data and rational analysis to find the lack of rational analysis. Then, on the basis of inductive problems of landless peasants, this paper deeply investigated the origin of landless peasant problems mainly on historical Urban-rural dual structure, the land system of our country, the compensation and social security system, the defects of peasants and so on. According to the analysis, the paper proposed and discovered new landless peasant problem solutions in the frame of socialist modernization, including improving the standards of registration management, employment, medical and education to balance urban and rural development; perfecting the reform of land by clearing the property rights of land and standardizing the land circulation; establishing reasonable compensation and social security system, composing the future and so on. At last the paper is to briefly summarize.
