Jinan High-star Hotel Research Leisure Business Model

As a strategic mainstay industry of national economy, the tourist industry of ShandongProvince has increased steadily in2013. The main assessment indicators of the tourist industryhave continued to increase rapidly. The total tourism income has amounted to5183.9hundredsmillions, which have increased14.7%compared to the same period of the last year. However,since “the eight national regulations” is published, the operation revenues and the customers’amount of the hotel industry of Shandong Province have showed the "collective landslide".Especially, the luxury Hotel industry has decreased significantly. The operation revenues of thefive-Stars Hotel industry have overall declined by25%-30%. During the key period of touristindustry transformation, how would the luxury Hotel industry of Jinan cope with the fiercecompetition from the abroad hotel? The government of Jinan city has vigorously advocated andpromoted the structure optimization of the tourism industry from upstream to downstreamcomprehensively. During the period of the operation mode transformation，the recreation projectwould be the core stage of the“New Era”hotel industry in order to increase the operating incomeand revenues. Because the traditional projects of the luxury hotel industry are the development ofsaturation, the recreation project should explore more scientific, innovative, business mode.Firstly, this paper summarizes the operation modes of the domestic and internationalrecreation projects, reviews the main theory of the recreation project, and analyzes thedevelopment and current situation of the domestic and international recreation project. Thequestionnaire survey of the recreation project is conducted oriented to22luxury hotels of Jinancity, analyzes the common external situation and the special internal situation. Based on theSWOT analysis model, this paper analyzes the recreation project of the luxury hotel industry ofJinan city, identifies the common problems, the advantages, the opportunities and the challengesof the luxury hotels. And then, this paper takes Shandong Hotel for the study object. The hotelshould establish the target guidance to cope with the customers`demands, improve thecustomers`satisfaction, and promote the customers`service as the permanent perspective inorder to improve the product system and the market position of the recreation project. Theseparate entity mode and the brand chain operation mode are the main direction of innovation ofthe recreation project of the luxury hotel industry, which is the appropriated business mode of therecreation project for the local market. Finally, the recreation project would be the profitableproject as well as the dietetic project and the housekeeping project of the luxury hotel industry of Jinan city.
