Chinese manufacturing industry had a rapid development, which helped China to become a truly big country, mainly for rising share in the national economy and international market, increasing level of industrial technology etc. At the same time,our country manufacturing industry also exist a series of problems, such as low technology contents, excessive dependence on foreign markets and resources, causing environmental pollution aggravate. Therefore manufacturing industry is facing the opportunity and challenge in the future.Efficiency is one core issues of economics, which is the centralized reflection of the competition ability of manufacturing industry. Improving manufacturing productivity is the base of changing the "high pollution, low benefit" extensive development mode and accelerating the process of industrialization. Thus it is important for us to analyzing the environment cost paid by manufacturing industry, exploring the changing rules of productivity of Chinese manufacturing.The study is divided into four parts. Firstly, have an analysis of the mainly status and problems of Chinese manufacturing on the macro level. Secondly, construct Environment Pollution Comprehensive Index by entropy method, calculate Chinese manufacturing green produce, and then estimates productivity by using SFA on Logarithmic Cobb-Douglas production function. Thirdly, analyze the following influence factors on the efficiency of manufacturing technology: foreign direct investment, trade dependency, industrial structure and government regulation. Finally, put forward some suggesting of improving the productivity of Chinese manufacturing.Creative research achievements:First, with joining the environment factors, Chinese manufacturing industry green productivity is below general productivity. By dividing total output into green productivity and environmental cost, we can put environmental factors into productivity measure system. Second, it is necessary to insert time factor into SFA model, which shows there is a decline trend in China’s manufacturing industry productivity over time. Third, Chinese manufacturing industry did not make full use of resources, with productivity increasing space limiting, and productivity increasing rate showing negative growth phenomenon.
