The Research On Headquarters Economy Agglomeration Area’s Layout Optimization Of Dalian City

With the development of information and communication technology, a well-developedtransportation network as well as the rapid development of modern logistics, corporates haveaccomplished the spatial separation between the headquarters and manufacturing bases,namely the corporate headquarters distributing in the center of the city where there areobvious advantages, and the manufacturing bases distributing in the peripheris where theresources were less-developed and the outlying areas, and thus forming the "headquarterseconomy" based on this new economic form. With the development of the headquarterseconomy, the headquarters agglomeration areas, as a concentrated expression of thedevelopment of the headquarters economy, have appeared in the center of the city where thecorporate headquarters mainly distributed, and the characteristics they have showed aremaking a growing contribution to regional economic development.As a result, the research onthe layout problem of headquarters economy agglomeration areas, is of great significance toguide the city headquarters economy to develop reasonably, healthily, and orderly.First of all,this paper,in combination with the relevant research results of both domesticand foreign scholars, finally summarized the basic theories and knowledge, such as theheadquarters economy, and headquarters agglomeration area’s concept, layout factors andtype classification. Based on the above theoretical analysis, the general idea of the layout ofthe agglomeration area of research headquarters, from three aspects, namely foundation fordevelopment, traffic location and coordination of the advantageous elements, and thenselect11quantifiable indicators to construct index system. In addition, from the perspectiveof scale level and functions of the division, combine with mathematical models to makefurther analysis about layout problem. Here take Dalian city urban area for example(including High-tech Zone, Zhongshan District， Xigang District, Shahekou District,Ganjingzi District, Lvshunkou District), according to the reports and the materials providedby the government at all levels，this paper divided the city into29headquarters agglomerationareas, and designed a set of index system through selecting the relevant indexes and elementsto research the headquarters agglomeration areas’ layout. Combining with index system, usingcomprehensive evaluation method, this paper calculated the score and set the threshold value and divided it into four kinds of scale levels(Ⅰ，Ⅱ，Ⅲ，Ⅳ), and proposed the developmentof all sizes level standard; by using K-means clustering method, the headquarters isdivided into investment-oriented, marketing, operational decisions, research and development,production, integrated, of6functional types, and the various functions of the correspondingdirection of development. Combining with the preliminary calculation results， Thematerials submitted by the Government and the actual development, this paper adjusted thedevelopmental orientation of the agglomeration areas for optimizing the layout more, andmade the thematic maps of Dalian’s the headquarters economy agglomeration areas’ layoutby MapInfo. Finally this paper put forward some more reasonable countermeasures for theheadquarters economic agglomeration areas’ layout.About the research of the headquarters agglomeration areas’ layout, this article combinethe comprehensive evaluation method with the scale classification, the K-means clusteringmethod with the functional classification. These two perspectives could reflect theheadquarters agglomeration areas’ layout more fully, so that the corporate decision-makersmaster the required information from different angles and timely adjust enterprise strategy.This paper made an empirical Analysis of Dalian City, and provided the basis of its initialheadquarters Economic Cluster Development Select. This kind of research idea can bepromoted to analysis the layout situation of other regional headquarters economicagglomeration areas, and even can be extended to the general study of urban construction.
