| During the twenty-first Century, the global economy has developed rapidly, science and technology becomes more and more important for all countries. The United States of America is the largest developed country in the world, which science and technology has developed to a very mature stage, and has been in a leading position in many high-tech fields. As the largest developing country in the world, China’s technology and science has developed rapidly in recent years, but the starting time is relatively backward, and there is still a large gap between China and other developed countries. American high-end technology products have comparative advantage, and China’s low-end technology products have comparative advantage. Many of American high-tech products with core competitiveness are what China needs when developing its economy. According to the relevant theories of international trade, there should be frequently technology trades between China and the United States, high-tech products trade will go ahead prosperously. However, by analyzing the phenomenon, we can easily find that high-tech products trade is imbalanced between China and the United State.International industrial transfer and the difference of statistical methods between the two countries are important reasons for the trade imbalance of high-tech products trade. For nearly a decade, America transfer its high-tech industry to the more high-end design and development part gradually, while China is at the end of the production chain and doing some assembling works. Then the final products are sold to America, resulting in the phenomenon which shows that America imports much more products than exports them. At the same time, the difference of trade statistical methods magnifies the deficit. In addition, the United States’export control policy is also causing the imbalance of high-tech products trade. This dissertation briefly introduces the respective high-tech products trade development conditions of the two countries, as well as the situation between them. It analyzes the reasons of the trade imbalance between the two countries, a series of problems and their impacts that exist in high-tech products trade. By analyzing the actual phenomenon in this article, we can get the characteristics of the trade through transversal and longitudinal analysis of different data, and analyze the internal and external causes of the high-tech products trade imbalance between China and the USA objectively. In this paper, I discuss several problems which causing the imbalance of high-tech products trade, including the International industry transfer, the difference of trade statistical methods, the United States export controlling against China. Then I predict the future development of high-tech products trade between the two countries, hoping to see their situations clearly, and fully prepare for unpredicted changes in the future. Finally as of the problems existing between the two countries, countermeasures can be put forward according to the specific situation of our country from macroscopic aspect and microcosmic aspect. So the development of our technology trade will be better and better. |
