With the rapid development of science and technology and the global economy, the consulting industry is gradually highlights its vigor and vitality, consulting companies appeared a short time ago, but they developed rapidly, especially in foreign countries, more and more management elites joined the "intellectual industry". Today the network is so advanced that filled with too much information difficult to count, how to select valuable information is a pressing problem from all the good and bad information, especially to consulting companies. Consulting industry is a typical knowledge-intensive industries, every aspect of consulting services are filled with a lot of knowledge. In order to obtain the required information quickly, finish the formation of system knowledge, solve problems quickly and efficiently for customers, many consulting firms are trying to implement knowledge management, in order to gain a strong competitive advantage and sustainable management capabilities. After the implementation of each management activity, the effects should be evaluated,then the manager could modify management practices based on the evaluation results to ensure that management results keep to the expected direction, knowledge management is no exception.In this paper,I designed a set of knowledge management performance evaluation indexes for consulting firms, then verified the operability of the evaluation system.Firstly, I introduced the background and significance of the topic and the methods used, then described the research results about knowledge management performance evaluation of consulting firms. I designed a set of evaluation indexes based on the results of previous studies, using the method of Delphi and hierarchical analysis, determined the judgment matrix of first and second level indexes, then the matrix is calculated to determine the weight of each evaluation index weight, and the judgment matrix consistency were tested showing that the judgment matrix had satisfactory consistency. Then I set Horizon Research Consultancy Group as a example,using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate knowledge management performance, verified the feasibility and practicality of the model and made some recommendations for Horizon to promote KM level, in the last of this paper I made a summary and proposal for the consulting firms on how to improve KM implement.
