Person-organization matching theory is the most important one of the theories under thecareer management of tourism teachers in vocational colleges.“National Platform for mediumand long term educational reform and development plan (2010-2020)” prescribed that "educationis the main approach of human resources development";"the key of China’s future developmentand China’s great rejuvenation is talents while the foundation is education". Tourism educationshould reflect the trend and requirements of education, and reflect requirements of individualsand organizations in the era of knowledge economy. The development of tourism education invocational colleges relies on high-level tourism teachers. Now we are in the face of newrequirements of the trend of globalization, new requirements of the innovation-oriented countryand of the higher education construction. Since some kinds of problems arose along with therapid development of science and technology, marketization and popularization, we need tore-understand the new objectives, new ideas and new strategy of the variable and boundarylesscareer management of tourism teachers’ construction in vocational college. Under suchcircumstance, this dissertation bases on person-organization matching theory, aims to analyze theproblems and find out reasons of tourism teachers’ career management, to construct model oftourism teachers’ career management in vocational colleges, and to provide win-windevelopment to both vocational colleges and their tourism teachers.The first part is the introduction part. It explains the career management necessity ofperson-organization matching from the perspectives of development demand of tourismeducation and person-organization development of vocational tourism college. This partdiscusses the background, significance, research methods and ideas, innovation and literaturereview. It also defines the meaning and specific details of person-organization matching andcareer.The second part is the analysis part. Through interview and questionnaire to the vocationalcollege teachers of tourism major and other tourism professionals, this part explores a scale ofcareer management under person-organization matching. This scale is proved to be a reliable onethrough the project analysis and reliability and validity test. Through the empirical research hasreceived92valid data, including three dimensions: person-organization matching, careerrecognition and job satisfaction. The data processing equipment SPSS17.0helps to draw a conclusion of the situation, problems and causation.The third part constructs a model of tourism teachers’ career management under theperspective of person-organization matching. This part combined with the current situation andinfluential factors, tried to construct a more innovative, targeted and practical training model forvocational tourism colleges and its teachers.The last part draws an integration strategy under the perspective of person–organizationmatching for tourism teachers.
