The Study Of Electronic Business Finance

For Electronic Business Finance (EBF), the problem whether it is electronic businessfinancialization or reverse one seems no longer important, the more important is that theforces of electronic business which are making traditional financial institutions to provetheir strength, and what they are also even more frightening are potential ability andimagination of EBF.‘The classic phrase: a ghost, an electronic business specter ishovering over the traditional financial institutions’voted from Marx’s Das Kapital.This article is aimed to analyze EBF which is integrating electronic business andfinance from the view of Alibaba’s dabbling into EBF,then author begins to analyze theissues of Alibaba’s EBF and advised some solutions for these issues in order to bring morecomprehensive and profound study on EBF in the future.The theoretical basis of this article is niche market theory and bilateral market theory.The author analyzed the current situation of Chinese electronic business industry and theEBF industry made a comprehensive and detailed analysis and outlook for EBF from themacro environment. Meanwhile the author summarized Alibaba’s development since itsset-up especially showed a detailed introduction for its EBF. Then the author raised fourmain issues which Alibaba’s EBF department is facing: the issues of the finance licenseand capital supervision; lack of professional financial talent; the product honogenirationfrom new entrants; more customers transfer from personal computer terminals to mobileterminals. Finally, the author advised the corresponding solutions for these four issues:relying on pioneer advantage to build entry barriers; building financial talent pool andconcentrating on single financial service; providing high-quality and efficient product、experience and service; holding entry resources of the mobile terminals.Eventually it is the hope that other companies whatever they has been or are preparingto do EBF could get help and inspiration from the study on Alibaba’s EBF.
