New technologies appear in the market nowadays, the decision-maker will face two cases when it decides weather or not to adopt it, and if any, the adoption timing:one is that if the decision-maker adopts new technology at the expense of a great payment, it will reduce production cost, but after the adoption, the demand of orders may decline or there will be no order; the other is that if the decision-maker misses the adoption opportunity when the demand of orders is very large, it will have to finish the orders on a high production cost.So it is an important problem that when the new technologies appear in the market, weather or not and when should it be adopted with no knowledge of the future appearance of new technologies or future demand of orders, In this paper, from the online point of view, the online model of the adoption timing of new technology is built, the strategy of adoption is designed and its competitive ratio is analyzed. The results of this paper provide the basis to the timing of adopting new technology for the decision makers.The main creative results of the research are as follows:To propose the online model of the adoption timing of new technology with learning effect of the enterprise, online strategy of the adoption time and its competitive ratio are present. With the consideration that if the new technology is adopted, the workers of the enterprise will learn how to use it, so the production cost will increase immediately and then decrease gradually, this is learning effect, the definition and function of learning effect are present; moreover, from the online point of view, the online model of the adoption timing of new technology is proposed, the production critical value strategy of adoption time is given and its competitive ratio is analyzed, and the comparison with the situation without learning effect is given. It shows that under the critical value strategy, the larger η is, the larger the competitive ratio will be; and because of the learning effect, the enterprise decision-maker will put off the adoption, the competitive ratio will be greater than which without learning effect. Finally, it shows an example of a factory that makes electronic components.To propose the online model of the adoption timing of new technology with learning effect and technology transference, the strategy of key cumulative production and its competitive ratio are present. With the consideration that if the new technology is adopted, the enterprise will transfer its present technology at a certain price, the definition and function of technology transference are present; moreover, from the online point of view, the online model of the adoption timing of new technology is proposed, the strategy of key cumulative production is given and its competitive ratio is analyzed, and the comparison with the situation without technology transference is given. It shows that under the strategy of key cumulative production, the larger η is, the larger the competitive ratio will be; the larger u is, the less the competitive ratio will be; and because of the with technology transference, the enterprise decision-maker will adopt new technology sooner, the competitive ratio will be less than which without technology transference. Finally, it shows an example of the same factory that makes electronic components.
