In recent years, executive succession events frequently occur in car enterprises, it has aroused the sustained and widespread attention. This paper selects two external succession events and two internal succession events to make a case study, analysis the relationship between external succession events and top management team performance, the relationship between internal succession events and top management team performance. Study external successor conflicts, internal successor conflicts. Study external successor conflicts on top management team performance influence and internal successor conflicts on top management team performance influence.The study found that its successor will bring many changes to car enterprise. But executive succession events on top management team performance influence are uncertain, according to the different situation may be positive, negative or no effect. We should combine the actual situation to test the succession to success or failure. Whether external succession or internal succession, will always cause senior management team conflict, their specific manifestations are different. But whether external successor conflict or internal successor conflict, will lead top management team performance decrease. Senior management team conflict has a negative impact on enhancing performance.In this regard, the paper provide some reference standard for the enterprise to choose the right successor; provide some guidance respectively for external successor and internal successor to solve senior management team conflict; provide enterprise some advices to resolve senior management team conflict; put forward a series of proposals to improve enterprise management. Facilitate enterprises choose successor to bring more benefits to enterprise development, make successor can better solve conflict problem, make enterprise can better guide and solve conflict problem, help enterprise improve management, finally improve enterprise performance.
