Located in the northwest margin of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Biyu Mountain area belongs to Heiying Mountain-Wuzhuergeshun metallogenic belt of Fe, Cu and Au(Ⅴ). Byu Shan iron ore deposite is a rather typical ore deposite in this area. However, multiple iron ore spots are found in Bai He Mountain – Qing He Gou regin of this area while the workload is relatively low, which worth of carrying out geological work further. On the basis of analyzing previous mineral surveys and research findings, in combination of this work, the author analyzed various characteristics such as geology, geochemistry, geophysics and mineralization in research area comprehensively, drew conclusions as below:1.Fault structures and magmatic activities in northwest direction during hercynian period are main mineralization in Bai He Mountain-Bi Yu Mountain-Qing He Gou area. Large expose of Intermediate-acid volcaniclastic rocks, development of fault sturctures in the northwest, strong magmatic activities, and distribution of iron ore deposits as well as ore spots indicate favourable geological conditions of ore formation.2.Controlled by altered andesite in conical mountains, iron ore body has evident stratabound features and basically the same Lithology as wall rock. Both of them are differ from metallic mineral in purity. Wall rocks in ore body were altered developed, propylitization was closely related to ore body and hydrothermal solution activity was intensive. Initial conclusion of the mineralization type is volcanic sediment metamorphic-hydrothermal solution type.3.Three magnetic anomalies are spreaded in this area with high strength, big scale and obvious gradient change, positive anomalies and negative anomalies are accompanied, magnetic substance extends into the deep, which indicate that the magnet ore body discovered on earth surface extends into the deep. Therefore there is also a possibility of prospecting for concealed ore body and blind ore body.4.Three geochemical composite anomalies are found in rearch area with large scale of anomalies, rich type of anomalous elements, and almost every single element anomaly is of 2~3 level of concentration zoning with good nesting. Conbination of three elements AsSbHg, AuCuAgPbZn, WSn MoBi indicates that hydrothermal activities were happened for multiple periods here. As front elements in ore body, As, Sb and Hg are abnormally existed widespreadly, which incates that ore body is inside deeply.5.Known iron ore deposits and iron ore spots are came from altered andesite. Among them, Bi Yu Mountain iron ore deposits and Bai He Mountain iron ore spots are under exploitation now, with high grade of ore body – 22%~71% TFe grade, which shows a well ore-searching prospect in this area.6.Deep drilling engineering is in need to verify and control magnet ore body. In the meantime, systematic exploration to discovered ore spots is needed also, to enlarge ore deposit scale and submit 1~2 large-medium iron ore deposits.
