Study On The Influence Of Land Renovation On Landscape Pattern And Landscape Ecological Quality

Land remediation is an activity to control the inefficient, irrational usedland and unused land, to restore damaged land use by constructing and destructed by natural disasters, in order to improve the efficiency of land use activities. It is a systems engineering way to promote farmland, water, road, forests, villages in order to promote agricultural development, improve rural living conditions and ecological environment, to promote the integration development of urban and rural. The evaluation of Land remediation is the source power for land remediation business growing. Since the launching of land remediation nineties, the evaluation of land consolidation focused on the economic, social and ecological aspects, while the evaluation of the impact on the landscape is relatively lacked, or blended in ecological benefits. Therefore the landscape evaluation neglected or weakened. This studyintroduced the landscape ecological quality to the land reclamation evaluation system, to some degree, it might be very interestingin building the evaluation system of land regulation in theory, and it also would be a practical guideline in managing lands.The paper tookLangxia country, Shanghai,as an example. The data base included the land use data of before and after the land remediation,industrial layout data. A researching landscape classification system of rural area based on functional morphology was established.The major contents were in the followings: Firstly, landscape pattern ofbefore and after land remediation were analyzed; Secondly, Landscape quality evaluation system of landscape stability, landscape interference and landscape aesthetics were built; Thirdly,depending on the advice of professor gave weight,a landscape ecological evaluation model using integrated analysis was established. Finally,how the land remediation influenced the landscape ecological quality was evaluated.The results showed :(1) The landscapelargest patch areas increased after land consolidation project area, the landscape patch densities increased, landscape connectivity levels were improved, while the landscapefractal dimensions, diversity, and aggregation were decreased.(2) The average level of landscape stability were improved afterthe land remediation activity, which was increasedfrom 0.6937 to 0.7261; the average level of landscape aesthetics was raised from 0.4856 to 0.5012, the area of the landscape interference which kept unchanged was about 81.56% of the total area;( 3) The ecological quality level was raised to 0.6186 from 0.5778.The major conclusions were:( 1) It was necessary to consider the landscape aesthetics when studying the land remediation influencing the ecological quality, since the purpose of land reclamation comprised to improve the land sustainable productivity and improve the homeland environment. In addition, the study also showed that land reclamation can improve the aesthetic level of the project area.(2) The different stages of land remediation would influence thelandscape pattern. The land reclamation the paper studied belonged to the third phase, so it had different impact on landscape from the first phase;(3)Land reclamation could improve the stability level,to enhance the aesthetics level and the overall level of interference was not much changed,so the land reclamation could be a way to improve the ecological quality.
