Study On Utilization Of Coastal Zone In Rizhao City Based On Remote Sensing

Coastal zone is a place where land and ocean interacted and always been a most important habitat for human survival and development. Activities of human beings, sensitivity of environment changes and vulnerability of staggered ecological systems together make lots conflicts between ecological protection and resource exploitation in the Coastal area, for this reason, Coastal zone comes to a hot spot of people’s concern and discussion. Reasonable and moderate coastal zone exploitation and utilization is the necessary condition for sustainable development, and learning the status quo comprehensively is the important precondition for decision makers to make feasible policy.Coastal zone of Rizhao has been chosen as a study case in this paper, and we have precisely statistic the area of the 7 Rizhao coastal zone exploitation types by interpreted the GF1 remote sensing data which made in China, they are 27.54km2 of the port/offshore facility, 87.71km2 of the high density low-rise buildings/village, 112.399km2 of the towns/impervious surface,193.255km2 of the water bodies, 19.79km2 of the bare land, 98.35km2 of the forest and266.92km2 of the farmland/green vegetation. A new index was proposed to indicate the exploitation degree, and it shows that high level exploitation happens near the port and the northwest of DongGang district, which may suggest the direction of the Rizhao urban developing. In addition, a Rizhao Coastal zone exploitation time series dataset has been set up using the Landsat series remote sensing dates. We analyzed the changes of the exploitation on time series from angle of where the human activities happened and fund that from 2005 to 2013,build area has increased by 96.95%, un-build area has decreased by 38.46%, and especially, the port has increased 151.2%. We also put forward some advises to make the Rizhao Coastal zone future better from the connotation of the principles of sustainable development.The results may help us learn the Rizhao Coastal zone more accurately, and it produced a batch of credible datasets which could support the reasonable exploitation policies made.
