With the continuous development of new types of sensors and photogrammetry platforms in these years. The UAV digital aerial technology become a strong complement to traditional aerial photogrammetry means which has the significantly characteristics of inexpensive, security, high resolution, high efficiency and so on. Has been widely used in many fields. At present, it has become one of the effective means to obtain the geographic information data.Along with the progress of technology and the electronic technology and low altitude aircraft manufacturing, low altitude remote sensing system in storage capacity, safety control, precision navigation and positioning, remote sensing, communication and data processing key technology is gradually mature, low altitude remote sensing technology in our country are widely used, but due to various reasons. The application of the technology of 1:500 scale of DOM and DEM rarely, an important reason is accuracy can’t meet the requirements.In this paper, the development, research status, basic theory and working method of the UAV aerial camera system are introduced in this paper. Combining with the two experimental demonstration project of Sirius UAV in Changsha and Shanghai, the process flow of the 1:500 scale DEM and DOM of the UAV is described. The real flight data obtained by experiment, the image data obtained by the UAV and the accuracy of the UAV are verified.(1) Described a system of Sirius UAV structure and principle and data processing system. The main characteristics of the operation process and the main function of the flight control system introduces the Desktop control software using MAVinci method and data postprocessing software of Agisoft PhotoScan Professional.(2) In Sirius without man-machine aerial system based on, by using GNSS real time dynamic differential technique, high precision measurement technology, data processing technology, realizes the low altitude unmanned aerial system in the production of 1:500 scale of DOM and DEM. After experimental verification of DOM and DEM accuracy check showed that. making the system accuracy of surface Dom and DEM accuracy of are in line with relevant measurement specifications.(3) Comparative analysis of the use of Sirius no difference between vehicle and traditional UAV in the production of large scale map again when the cost and precision of the. Show that the UAV aerial photographic system breaks through the traditional aerial photography measurement mode, without outside the industry, photo control survey, improve work efficiency, save a lot of cost; the digital processing computer automatic production can be realized.
