Due to the precision of the instrument, atmospheric refraction, the curvature of the earth and deflections of the vertical limit, triangle elevation measurement has not been breakthrough improvement.Therefore, as a kind of flexible elevation measurement method, the trigonometric leveling can only be used in low grade leveling, and the construction survey of low precision.In recent years, the development of Surveying and mapping technology, the accuracy of measuring instruments is improved, especially the appearance of the measurement robot, which brings a new lifting space to the accuracy of the trigonometric leveling.In this paper, on the basis of the analysis of the trigonometric leveling error sources and accuracy analysis of the impact of proposed with total station instrument of trigonometric leveling to observation method is the total station instrument to the observation height measurement formula, and the use of error propagation law derived height measurement accuracy calculation formula,analyzes the influences of error factors on height measurement accuracy.The author detailed understanding and participating in the research and application of the subject. The LeicaTM30 precision electronic total station, at the same time to view measurement trigonometric leveling for complex terrain in the difficult conditions of the feasibility study of second grade leveling using two total station instrument.And introduces the total station instrument to view the actual application of the measurement of height measurement in the part area of Dali City, Yunnan Province, trigonometric leveling.The error analysis and accuracy evaluation of the measurement results show that the measurement method can achieve a high precision, and can meet the requirements of the two level measurement specification, and the data can achieve the desired results.Finally, based on the improved trigonometric leveling method, the author has participated in the research and development of Precise Trigonometric Leveling software, the realization of the "one click" automatic observation, measurement process by computer data transfer data pre processing and other functions.For the application of the component, the process of the external industry can reduce the error caused by human factors, which can save manpower and material resources, and make the measuring process more convenient, and the measuring result is more accurate.
