Amine compounds have been increasing an important role owing to their broad application in functional materials and medicinal chemistry. Among the numerous chiral amine compounds, homoallylic amines have gained excessive attention because of their possession of allyl, which can easily be converted into other functional groups. For preparing homoallylic amines, the nucteophilic addition of allymetallic reagents to imines was one of the most common approaches according to reports. However, allymetallic reagents in complex structures was difficult to synthesise, which have limited the wide application of the synthetic strategy to some extents. Therefore, the development of new approaches for preparing homoallylic amines have been a hot spot to chemists.We have planned to prepare homoallylic amines through the reaction of nucleophilic a-amino anions with electrophilic Allylation reagents, which was the new synthetic strategies we would represent within this context. Schiff base lithium intermediates, which synthesized through the reaction of benzaldehyde and2,2-diphcnylglycine in the metal lithium of methanol solution, could be converted to a-amino anions by decarboxylic reaction. The anions in highly reactive could react with the allyl electrophilic reagents effectively to obtain corresponding allylation products based on the Pd(0) catalyst. Meanwhile, we have employed a one-pot synthesis strategy to expand the substrates. The results have indicated that various kinds aromatic aldchyde compounds showed in good functional group tolerance, also in high selectivity and yields.In conclusion, we have investigated a novel way for synthesis of homoallylic amines, which could converted aldehydes to its corresponding homoallylic amines in high yields and high selectivity mildly. In this procedure, a new C-C bond has been created, also including a new C-N bond. This provided a significant way to synthesise various useful amines and other nitrogen-containing compounds.
