The compositions and properties of acetate and methanol were briefly summarized in paper, and the manufacturing techniques of them were also introduced. The raw material of this paper was pharmaceutical wastewater,as multi-component azeotropic existes in methyl acetate-methanol-ethanol-benzene-water system,it is difficult to separate them with normal distillation method. We proposed a method by using extractive distillation with salt and ectractive distillation,and to get high purity methyl acetate, methanol and mixed solvent.At first we choose the appropriate extractant of the first extractive distillation, according to the salt extraction distillation experiment, we separate out water from the raw material and get the water-free mother liquor. The effect of various solvents on separation of this studied system was analyzed in terms of polarity judgment and intermolecular forces. A single stage cycle VLE pot was established, then by analyzing the composition of vapor phase and liquid phase,and the relative volatility between each component was calculated correspondingly.Conquently,ethylene glycol was chosen as the best second ectractive solvent.And then,on the basis of the previous studies,the whole process of separation was simulated by using Aspen plus.During the simulation,the plate number, reflux ratio,solvent ratio, feed location, solvent feed location, top product quantity were studied on effect of separation efficiency.The basis for model process package designing was provided by the experiment and simulation results. The target of model process package designing was:under optimized conditions, the mass content of methanol was increased from61%to99.40%, and the content of acetate was under0.01%, the recovery rate of methanol was96.02%; in the overhead of solvent recovery tower,the content of methyl acetate content can reach to more than46%,the recovery rate of methyl acetate was92.19%, which was fully meet the requirements of the purpose of distillation experiment. The extractant was recycled for circulation utilization.The craft bag mainly includes design skills, process instructions, material balance, process flow diagram (PFD), main equipment and control instruments, etc. By the preliminary experiment research,the size of ectractive distillation tower and solvent recovery tower was gained, then draw the process flow diagram and layout, determine the main equipment table and control instrument, complete the design of the craft bag. The data of extractive distillation and the design of craft bag were provided in this paper. The rearch work in this paper also provided a basis for the further process improvement and industrial amplification research.
