components such as feeding system, melt gear pump, screen changer, die plate, and palletizer are given, and flow and mixing simulations for screw elements of different lead of screw, turbine mixing elements and screw mixing elements in a co-rotating twin-screw extruder are executed based on3-D finite element method with POLYFLOW, the comparison of flow behavior and mixing performance of them are obtained. The scale-up of intermeshing co-rotating twin-screw extruders is also researched, which will be helpful for developing large co-rotating twin-screw extrusion palletizing system in China. |
