Laser-induced fluorescence detector (LIFD)——a new type of detector, useshigh-intensity laser as the excitation source, is borned on the basis of commonfluorescence detector, with strong selectivity, high sensitivity, etc, it is one of the themost sensitive detector currently. When using laser-induced fluorescence detectiontechnology, under certain conditions, for certain fluorescent substances evenapproached or reached the level of a single molecule detection. Currently, themajority of commercially available drinks are beginning to add B-group vitamins,people can supplement necessary vitamins which we can not synthesize by ourselvesefficiently by drinking beverages containing B vitamins. Vitamin content of thebeverage has an important impact on the function of the beverage. Therefore, it isnecessary to establish a method for detecting vitamin B content of beverages.In this paper, the LIFD230laser-induced fluorescence detector was studied,which was combined with the high performance liquid chromatography, andestablished a set of HPLC-LIF detection system for vitamin B1, B2and B6in thebeverage.Sample processing methods the flow matching ratio, pH and otherchromatographic conditions were investigated, and the the optimum chromatographicconditions were obtained. Experimental results show that: vitamin B1: samplerecovery is between96.9%-100.8%and recoveries RSD is1.4%and0.83%, theminimum detection limit is1.5×10-3μg/mL; linear relationship is good in0.05μg/mL-5μg/mL range, R2=0.9998; vitamin B2: sample recovery is between96.52%-100%and recoveries RSD is0.51%, the minimum detection limit is9.4×10-4μg/mL; linearrelationship is good in0.05μg/mL-5μg/mL R2=0.9998; Vitamin B6: Pyridoxal,pyridoxine and pyridoxamine minimum detection limits were0.035μg/mL,0.032μg/mL and0.04μg/mL; linear relationship is good in0.05μg/mL-5μg/mL range,R2=0.9984,0.9997and0.9985; sample recovery is between97.6%-101.6%and therecovery RSD=1.3%.The results showed that HPLC-LIF detection system has a low detection limits, agood linear range, and good stability, and it is suitable for detection of B vitamins inthe drinks.
