The real-time acquisition of mould processing field information is necessary for itsautomatic production transformation. Due to the disadvantage of human disturbance andcontact-type, traditional bar code information acquisition could not fix the issue ofreal-time production information. According to the characteristics of the mould production, mould processing field information is directly related to its location information. In thelight of the RFID technology’s simple manipulation and flexibility of automatic control, building a reasonable mould production positioning system by using RFID positiontechnology provided feasible ideas and methods for real-time acquisition of information ofmould manufacturers. In the paper, the mold processing enterprises’ actual environmental layout wasanalyzed in detail, different workpiece positioning schemes were designed according todifferent workpiece machining positioning requirements. The RSSI positioning model wasput forward for workpiece processing positioning in mould assembly, tryout and toolingrepair areas, etc. And the feasibility validation of positioning model was completed bysimulation experiment. Finally, the system requirement analysis, positioning process, function model were conducted. The positioning model’s building technology adopted in the system was deeplystudied. The paper mainly discussed the input/output technology such as datanormalization and model evaluation. On the other hand, the building principles ofpositioning models of BP Neural Network and Naive Bayes were discussed in detail.Based on above studies, the workpiece positioning system based on RFID wasimplemented. The system can handle workpieces’different processing location positioningrequirements flexibly, obtain workpieces’ location information quickly and steadily, andcomplete the on-site real-time acquisition of information during mould processing. Inaddition, the system was beneficial to the automation transformation of mould processingenterprises.
