| At present, because the transmission towers are used in the outdoor environment, especially in the industrial areas and the maritime areas, and to be heavily corroded, theexpected service life is needed to be extended in the harsh conditions. Therefore, it isparticularly important to study on the anti-corrosion of steel. In this paper, six manufacturers of the hot-dipped coating bolts and bolts treated byzinc-rich coating were tested in the neutral salt spray. The anticorrosion properties of thebolts differences between hot-dipped coating and zinc rich coating were tested throughmacroscopic phenomena and microstructure in different periods. Meanwhile, the torquecoefficient and the anti-tension capacity of four manufacturer hot-dipped coating boltswere tested to determine the effect of the hot-dipped process on the mechanicalproperties. Finally, the anti-slip coefficient of the steel structural members composed bybolts and steel plates whose surface treated by hot-dipped coating or zinc-rich coating. The results show that:(1) The hot-dipped process reduces the tensile strength of the bolts and increasesthe torque coefficient of the bolts significantly. It can reduce both the average value andthe standard deviation of the torque coefficient of the hot-dipped bolts when MoS2lubricant was used to treat the bolts surface.(2) The anti-corrosion performance of the hot-dipped bolt is bad, the main reasonsfor this includes the partial thickness defects of the coating, the impurities in the dipgalvanizing melt and the micro cracks in the coating. It can improve the anti-corrosionperformance of the bolts when the zinc-rich coating was brushed on the bolts.(3) The anti-slip coefficient with zinc-rich coating steel is significantly higher than that of the hot-dipped steel when the steel and bolts were assembled to members. |
