Seamless pipe is a kind of economic cross-section steel, widely used in oil extractionand processing, pipeline transportation, machinery manufacturing, boiler manufacturersand large venue construction. Due to reasons such as processing, there may be defects insteel. To ensure safety, Steel pipe will be100%of the inspection before delivery.Immersion ultrasonic flaw detection method is a commonly used inspection method.However, there is misjudgment in immersion ultrasonic inspection equipment. Improvethe detection equipment is necessary.This thesis analyzes the inspection process of the equipment, presents the existingproblems, gets the factors causing misjudgment and determines the main factors andsecondary factors. The conclusion is that steel pipe should be surface cleaning before it isinspected. It’s necessary to remove rust, dust and oxide on the surface of the steel pipe.After cleaning the surface of the steel pipe, it also needs to wash away the remaining rushand dust on the surface of the steel pipe. These processes are helpful to improve thecleanliness of the steel surface and keep the coupling agent clean. After the inspection, it’snecessary to remove the water on the surface of the steel pipes. In order to improvedetection effect, I have developed related equipment. It is proofed that this equipment caneffectively improve the inspection signal and reduces false positives. |
