Metal-Organic frameworks (MOFs) is a kind of self-assemled coordination polymers with infinite structures which was constrcted from clusters or chains of metal ions connected by organic linkers. MOFs have been applied in diverse fields, such as gas adsoption, drug delivery, imaging and catalysis. MOFs with high surface area, permanent porous structure, good thermal stability which promoted their promising applications in chromatography field. In this paper, three MOFs were used in solid phase microextraction (SPME) as coatings and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) as stationary phase with satisfying results. The paper include the following four parts.1. In the first part, the characteristics, synthesis and applications of MOFs were introducd. Especially, the applications of MOFs in sample pretreament and chromatography were summarized. Finally, the significance and main contents of the paper were elaborated.2. ANH2-MIL-53(Al) SPME coating fiber was prepared via immobilization with resin, and diverse methods were used to characterize the coating fiber. An optimized method based on NH2-MIL-53(Al) SPME coating coupled with GC-MS can enrich polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) efficiently. The method showed low limits of detection (1.5 ng/L-10 ng/L) for PAHs, and RSD ranged from 1.3% to 8.7%. The recoveries of spkiked samples ranged from 84.3% to 116.9%, and phenanthrene, fluoranthene and benzo[a]pyrene in Xihe river sample were detected.3. UIO-66 with high surface area, good thermal stability and solvent stability was used as coating of SPME. The SPME-GC-MS method was used for determination of seven typical kinds of polychorinated biphenyls(PCBs). The established method had a wide linear range and RSD ranged from 1.0% to 8.5%. At the same time, the limits of detection were between 0.3 ng/L and 0.8 ng/L. The recoveries for spiked Minjiang river and fish feed at 50 ng/L ranged from 82.2% to 115.2%, and the results revealed the method can be applied for samples.4. MIL-53(Fe) with "breathing effect" was usd as liquid chromatographic stationary phase. The MIL-53(Fe) packed column offered high-resolution separation of alkylbenzenes, ethylbenzene and xylene, nitroaniline isomers, and styrolene and ethylbenzene. The RSD was 0.5%-2.4%,1.3%-4.6% and 0.3%-2.8% for the rentention time, peak area and half peak width, respectively.
