With the computer network printing technology widely used in office automation, the market of toner is developing rapidly as the main supplies and the demants for toner are higher and higher. At present, The study about color toner is focused on the development of the adhesive resin. It has never been reported that the dry and resin are connected together by chemical bond, to solve the problems of the previous color toner that the poor compatibility between pigment and resin, uneven distribution of pigment, easy to fall off when printing.In this paper, random copolymers P(S-BA-CMS) was synthesized via nitrxide-mediated radical copolymerization(NMRP) of Styrene(S) and Butyl Acrylate(BA) and Chloromethy-lstyrene(CMS) with TEMPO as radical stabilizers, AIBN as radical initiator; Then, the colored resin PS-0 for color toner modified by dye were synthesized by "click" chemistry with NaN3 as functional reagent and acetylenic ether derivatives of oil soluble yellow Pr-O as "click" Reagents.Investigate the dependence of copolymer conversions, composition, dynamics and other parameters of the polymer on polymerization process parameters and monomer ratio by 1H-NMR, FT-IR, GPC, DSC, UV and other testing methods. At the same time, the influential factors of thermal and optical performance of the colored resin were systematic studied.The main findings are as follows:1. S/BA/CMS ternary random copolymerization was realized via NMRP with TEMPO as radical stabilizers, AIBN as radical initiators, The ternary copolymerization system in line with the general characteristics of the "living"polymerization:the number average molecular weight is increasing linearly with the increasing of conversions and the molecular weight distribution is narrow; The more BA monomer ratio and the smaller [TEMPO]/[AIBN], the higher the conversions can be achieved and the greater the molecular weight; the higher the reaction temperature, the higher the conversions can be achieved and the smaller the molecular weight; the composition of polymer can be controlled by precisely controlling the monomer ratio, when [CMS]/[S]/[BA]=5/75/20,the copolymerization is azeotropic copolymerization.2.For the first time the colored resin PS-0 that the composition and molecular weight can be controlled for color toner was synthesized by By chemical modification and "click" chemistry. Systematic investigation the Tg of the polymer before "click" and after:Before "click", the Tg of the polymer is decreasing linearly with the increase of BA content; After "click" reaction, the Tg of the polymer become bigger, and the greater the molecular weight, the more BA content, the greater increase of Tg. Tg (67.6℃)of the PS-0 which was synthesized via azeotropic copolymerization is in line with the requirements of the commercial color toner.3.To study the influence of the composition and molecular weight on maximum absorption wavelength and molar extinction coefficient by UV-vis:the more the CMS content, the more red shift of maximum absorption wavelength, the greater increase the absorption coefficient of PS-O.
