Fracturing has proved to be a main way to achieve reservoir stimulation for oil and gas well, especially the low permeability reservoirs. How to stratify the vertical wells and multi-stage fracture the horizontal well to achieve the max drainable area is one of the developmental directions of reservoir stimulation, which is also a worldwide problem.Geometry simulation of fracture is the base of hydraulic fracturing design and production forecasts, which has important research significance.Based on StimPlan simulation of the fracture is carried out in the paper, which detailed analyzes how the formation parameters including Yang’s modulus, stress contrast and fracture toughness and the technological parameters including displacement and sand scale affect fracture extension and how the formation parameters including permeability and reservoir pressure and fracture parameters including fracture length and sanding concentration affect deliverability. Calculation shows that, stress contrast is the main factor affecting fracture height, which increases with the increase in stress contrast; fracture length, height increase and width decreases with the increase in Yang’s modulus; fracture length, width increase and height decreases with the increase in fracture toughness; deliverability increases with the increase in permeability, fracture length and flow conductivity; stimulation ratio increases with the increase of sanding concentration.Considering the effect of various parameters to deliverability, the hydraulic fracturing jet program is optimized in the view of a hydraulic fracturing test well of Er Lian Oilfield. At last, the paper develops the optimal design method of hydraulic fracturing.
