The Structure Optimal Design For Turbine Flow Meters Based On CFD

The turbine flow meter is a traditional flow measuring instrument, which is widely used.It’s an important measuring instruments concerning modern production, people’s livelihood and the improvement of country. Under the condition of growing shortage of oil resources,the measuring instrument should have the character of low loss and high accuracy. As for flow meter, improving its quality is significant.In this paper, the flow meter of DN100 is investigated. Using the method of CFD, the internal flow, pressure loss have been deeply studied. Besides, designed the impeller and inducer. The main research work is follows:(1)The model of DN100 flow meter was established. The Fluent was used to get the internal flow of flow meter..Then analyzed the pressure loss.(2)Changed the number and the blade tip space of the impeller, and analyzed the velocity and the pressure of impeller and cross sections. Then the optimal method of impeller was established.(3)Adjusted the length and chamfer size of front inducer, and imported models into Fluent and calculated. Then analyzed its influence on velocity and pressure loss. Finally, the optimal solution of front inducer was determined.(4)Changed the length and chamfer size of back inducer. Then simulated the internal flow and analyzed the pressure loss and velocity based on it, and proposed the optimal solution of back inducer.In this paper, the structure of the turbine flow meter was optimized in detail, and find out the influence of structural parameters on components and the whole flow field, which provides a theoretical basis and design guidance for the actual production.
