Underground pipeline network data consists spatial data and attribute data. which has the characteristics of large amount of data and high correlation between data. Therefore, there is a certain practical application value to study an efficient database storage method. In this dissertation, the underground pipeline network data of residential estate governed by Oilfield Mining Services Division is taken as research object. With considering the characteristics and storage display requirements of two kinds of data, the solution based on data modeling construct, and combining data transform technique to set up the efficient underground pipe network database is proposed. The main contents is as following aspects:1. Data of underground pipe network was analyzed, especially to study data composition,data format, data expression, data resource and data issue.2. In this dissertation, the establishment of data coding specification was to ensure the uniqueness of the underground pipe network data, that is to achieve the data correspondence of spatial data and attribute data. Additionally, transform algorithm was developed to achieve the CAD data to GIS data conversion. The transformed GIS data and attitude data were stored in the GIS database.3. Object-oriented underground pipeline network data structure model was proposed based on the data characteristics. The data model takes each underground pipeline network data as an object, and classifies the objects with same data structure, operation approach and following same constraint rules as one category. By adopting this data model, the underground pipe network data was organized effectively, and their internal relation was expressed exactly.4. Vector raster data conversion algorithm was employed to achieve conversion from vector data to raster data. Furthermore, the integration storage structure for vector raster data was established to ensure the underground pipe network data analysis and the system functions.5. On the basis of above underground pipeline network data analysis and data processing approach, data storage structure design realizes the storage of underground pipeline network data. Finally, Arc SDE data interface was applied to integrate data into the database system,and completed the storage of the underground pipeline network data.
