As one kind of new composite, bamboo scrimbers,with the wide application and market potential, have received more and more attention. Scholars should work hard to make the wider application, improving its properties, increasing its added value coming true. CFS(or GFS) reinforced bamboo scrimber composites were manufactured by CFS or GFS bounded to bamboo scrimber substrate using epoxy resin under pressure, with improved its mechanical properties(MOE, MOR and flexural rigidity), water resistence and weather resistance as result. Results indicated that:The parallel-to-grain tensile strength, parallel-to-grain compressive strength, compression strength perpendicular to grain, tensile strength across the grain, horizontal shear strength, MOE and MOR of bamboo scrimber are about 137.2 MPa^ 101.7 MPa 33.1 MPa,8.1 MPa、13.7 MPa、8916.5 MPa、110.4 MPa, respectively. The orizontal grain tensile strength is only about 5.9% of the shun wen tensile strength. The results of DSC curves indicated that the peak curing temperature of EP was about 80℃; After precuring, curing degree of EP can reach the top of 97.1%. From the data of EP DMA curves, the Tg and tanδ were about 82.9 "C and 0.417; At test temperature of 40℃, the E’ of EP was 3486.2 MPa. The bending strength, bending modulus, tensile strength and tensile elongation at break were 81.58 MPa, 2351.27 MPa,69.97 MPa and 13.89%, respectively.With the help of DMA, the best experimental factors was obtain by single factors experiment.The experimental factors of CFS reinforced bamboo scrimber composites is 120℃ pressing temperature for 4 hours,1:2 for mass ratio of fiber and EP,4 MPa unit pressure for pre-curing; The experimental factors of GFS reinforced bamboo scrimber composites is 120℃ pressing temperature for 4 hours,1:1.5 for mass ratio of fiber and EP,4 MPa unit pressure for pre-curing.From the results of mechanical properties and water absorption performance testing of CFS or GFS/bamboo scrimber composites, significant increase of mechanical properties of ensuing CFS or GFS reinforced composite materials by single or double side was observed. The way of double side was more remarkable than the single side. Taking the CFS/bamboo scrimbers as an example, the MOE、MOR、wet MOE, wet MOR and flexural rigidity was enhanced about202.9%,142.5%,81.9%,81.8% and 292.74%; the Quality can be decreased about 31.9%.The mechanical properties of the composites were enhanced at the earlier stage of UV accelerated aging experiment, while dropped somehow by comparison at the later stage. Color i7 matching system showed that the composites’color was protected well by the fiber sheets/EP layers, with comparing the color changes between before and after UV accelerated aging experiment. The DMA indicated that Tg and tanδ grew, while the max E’ decreased, with the increasing of UV accelerated aging time.These phenomenon owe to the interface crack and expanding because of EP degradation and interfacial strength decrease between the fiber and EP properly.
