This paper studied the domestic butyl rubber IIR1751.The microstructure and basic properties of three different types of IIR including IIR 1751 and two foreign types of IIR were studied by with different means, such as microstructure, mooney viscosity, curing characteristics, mechanical propertiesheat aging properties and dynamic mechanical properties of vulcanizates. By adjusting the curing system,reinforcing system,anti-aging system and processing craft,the application formula of IIR1751 used as capsule was studied.And the hot oxygen aging performance of IIR1751 were studied.The results showed that IIR1751 had the lowest degree of unsaturation, narrower molecular weight distribution and its high molecular weight portion content was lower, the infrared spectra of the peak with -C=C- was weak, the lowest Tg.It had the minimum mooney viscosity, processing performance was good, lower degree of crosslinking, poor resilience.It’s thermal performance was better than the IIR268 and IIR301.When CR as activator,vulcanization characteristics,crosslinking degree, physical and mechanical properties, the hot oxygen aging performance of the IIR1751 increased significantly. And when the dosage was 5, the tensile strength of rubber was 15.2MPa,the tear strength was 41.8KN/m,the modulus at 300% was 7.0MPa;SP2402 phenolic resin as the curing agent, rubber processing security was good.The mechanical properties and the hot oxygen aging performance were excellent;When the dosage of zinc oxide was increasing,the thermal conductivity was obviously improved. When the dosage was 14, the thermal conductivity was 0.252 W/mK and the hot oxygen aging performance was best;The antiager MB can greatly improve the hot oxygen aging performance,such as the rate of the tensile strength was -35%,the rate of the tear strength was -16%.And the difference of tanδ between before and after aging vulcanizates was only 0.002;When the curing temperature was 195℃ and the curing time was 30 min, the degree of cure was the largest, best mechanical properties of the vulcanizates.The more loading and the smaller carbon black particle size in compounds, the greater the loss factor and the energy storage modulus. The smaller particle size was favorable for reinforcement but not conducive to decentralization or processing and low of compression set.When the dosage of carbon black was increasing, the heating was greater and the mixing was more difficult.Different kinds of carbon black had less effect on the aging resistance of IIR1751.When the dosage of carbon black N330 was 55, the aging resistant performance was best.Comprehensive consideration, IIR1751 filled with 55phr N330 could get balanced performance.
