The octanol waste lye of the Second Chemical Plant of Daqing Petrochemical Co used the incineration technology,.It failed to recovery the organic matter and use the resource effectively.In this paper, the research is based on the handling of octanol waste lye to carry out acidification extraction-octanol extraction- macroporous resin adsorption combined process, which have achieved better effect.1. The parameters of octanol waste lye after acidification and extraction are optimized. The concentration of COD reduced from 1.05×105mg/L to 2.65×104mg/L,and the removal rate increased from 50% to about 74%.The effect of extraction has been increased greatly.2. With the water after treatment and acidification, the octanol is used to carry out the second-extraction technology. The concentration of COD in the effluent is 6.45×103mg/L when the concentration is 2.87×104mg/L in the influent. Light group after extraction points back to the recycling acidification installment with the content butyric acid was 99.1%,and the extractant(mainly octanol) returns to the second-extraction installment for recycling with the removal rate of COD was over 76%. It has reduced the concentration of COD in the wastewater greatly, and solved the problem of regeneration and recycling.3.The wastewater of second-extraction is adsorbed by LS-100 macroporous resin,and the removal rate of COD is above 97%. It has reduced the concentration of COD in the wastewater significantly and recovery the butyric acid efficiently.4. Comparing of the desorption and process conditions, the use of steam desorption has better economical effect with the Butyric acid solution returning to the extraction phase for cycling. When concentration of COD in the influent is 6.45×103mg/L,the concentration in the effluent is in the range of 155~183mg/L.The removal rate of COD can reach above 97%, the desorption rate reaches more than 99.4%.5. It used the existing sewage treatment plant as the experimental conditions to handle the water coming from the adsorption of aerobic biological. The removal rate of COD is above 80%, the concentration of COD in the effluent was less than 40mg/L.It has eliminated the impact of high concentration COD to the sewage treatment plant, and achieved standards for discharging.After the above treatment, organic matter—Demulsification and butyric acid in the octanol waste lye can be recycled basically. It has realized utilization of organic waste in the octanol waste lye, obtained better economic benefits, and solved the major environmental factors.
