Abstract/Summary:
Yttrium aluminum garnet(Y3Al5O12, YAG) is an important laser material due to its excellent optical properties. YAG activated with trivalent cerium is a yellow phosphor which is studied earliest and most completely. YAG:Ce phosphors have wide application prospect and the important value of research in white phosphor-based LED commercial market.Compared with conventional lighting sources, white LED has many merits in energy saving, compact optics designs, cold source, start up at low volt or electrical current, long life-span, rapid brightness and color changes, aseismatic, recyclable, unpolluted and so on, there’s obvious benefits to economic and environment. Whereas, if white LED illuminance would realize finally, there will be much works in playing down cost and increasing LED’color reveal index, luminescence efficiency, luminous flux and life-span. At present, the commercialized W-LEDs are mainly assembled by a blue chip and yellow phosphor materia as Ce:YAG.The white light are generated from the mixture of blue light emitted by blue chip and the yellow light emitted by the yellow phosphor excited by blue light.White Light Emmiting Doide have many advantages but also disadvantages. For example the poor luminescence efficiency of Commercial phosphor and its poor Solubility. The nanocrystallization of YAG is a effective way to solve this problem. Based on the above situation, as well as to the comprehensive consideration of the conditions of our laboratory, we use high-temperature pyrolysis and solvothermal method to produce YAG:Ce3+ nanocrystalline. This thesis mainly includes:Describe the history and status quo of the white LED;Describe the history and status quo of the YAG:Ce.We used the high-temperature pyrolysis method to produce YAG:Ce3+ nanocrystalline. The YAG yellow phosphor is synthesized by high-temperature pyrolysis method and the chemical and physical properties are characterized with molecule fluorometry, ICP, TEM and so on. We produced the transparent light emitting device, and studied the transparent luminescent performance.We used the solvothermal method to produce YAG:Ce3+ nanocrystalline. The YAG yellow phosphor is synthesized by solvothermal method and the chemical and physical properties are characterized with molecule fluorometry, ICP, X-ray diffracting,TEM and so on. We produced the transparent light emitting device, and studied the transparent luminescent performance.
