Pharmaceutical and personal care products(PPCPs) was a spurious persistence pollutant. It covered a very wide range, including prescription、non-prescription drugs、daily nursing necessities and so on. Part of PPCPs components had strong biological activity, optical activity, bioaccumulation and biological toxicity. In recent years, there were more and more reports on PPCPs detected in surface water, drinking water, sewage treatment plant and river sediment. However, there were still few research on PPCPs in refuse landfill leachate and groundwater. Therefore, it was very necessary to research concentration level and distribution of PPCPs in typical pollution sources and groundwater in china.By the analysis method established of PPCPs, this paper analyze the concentration and distribution of PPCPs in the wastewater treatment plant ,landfill leachate, and the typical pollution river in the Pearl River Delta area. Following are the conclusions:1. Detection and pretreatment of HPLC-MS/MS, which could rapidly and accurately determine 13 PPCPs in water environment, was initially established by using solid phase extraction to pretreat water samples and applying high pressue liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS/MS) to detect and analyze water samples. And the indexes of PPCPs, such as the method limit, linear equations, correlation coefficients, recovery of standard addition and relative standard deviation, were discussed in the paper, and the established analysis method was successfully applied to detect the actual samples.2. The concentrations of PPCPs in wastewater treatment plant, swage、landfill leachate and groundwater were analyzed by HPLC-MS/MS.The results showed that:The target PPCPs in landfill sites had less species, low concentrations; 15 PPCPs target compounds in various process units of sewage treatment in the Pearl River Delta region had high detection frequencies and concentrations. The main target compounds of sewage treatment plants were CF and KP. The total detected concentration of 15 PPCPs target compounds was 470-2739.4ng/L. The results also showed that the sewage treatment had a negative removal efficiency for target compounds; Two typical pollution rivers could be detected a certain concentration of PPCPs. The total concentration of PPCPs was between 135.84~606.62ng/L,and the main pollutants in 2 rivers were CF and SP, and the severity of whose pollution degree was related to the direct emission of pollution sources.3.Analysis of the data of various groundwater in the Pearl River Delta region showed that: PCPs of groundwater in the Pearl River Delta region was between ND-33.53ng/L, and its mean was 5.19ng/L, and its detection rate was 87.80%. The geometric mean of CF was the highest of 1.29ng/L, followed by IM of 0.82ng/L, and it showed that CF and IM were the main pollutants of PPCPs in in groundwater in the Pearl River Delta region. The pollution degree of PPCPs in groundwater in 4 survey areas was in turn Guangzhou> Foshan> Qingyuan> Dongguan. In addition, the study also showed that leather processing and the production of clothing, footwear and leather goods whose raw material was leather also were the pollution sources of PPCPs in groundwater.The paper provided a scientific basis for China’s relevant departments and domestic and foreign researchers to research the concentration level, pollution status, risk assessment, source analysis and prevention and control of PPCPs in the typical pollution sources and groundwater in the Pearl River Delta region.
