Mesoporous Ti O2/SBA-15 materials have higher photocatalytic activity than mesoporous Ti O2, which have attracted much attention due to their promising applications in the purification of air, the bactericidal action of water, and environmental photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutant compounds and so on.Supported Ti O2/SBA-15 photocatalysts 、 the composites Fe-Ti O2/SBA-15 with Fe doping and the composites Cu-Ti O2/SBA-15 with Cu doping were successfully synthesized by solvothermal treatment using titanium n-butoxide(TB) and carboxylate-modified SBA-15(COOH/SBA-15)as raw materials. The good dispersive carboxyl groups of COOH/SBA-15 coordinated with TB molecules toanchor them. After solvothermal treatment, the TB molecules were transformed into Ti O2 nanoparticles and finally formed the Ti O2/SBA-15 products. The products were calcined to improve the crystallization of Ti O2 and to remove the organic compounds.As obtained photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)、Fourier transform infrared(FI-IR) spectroscopy、scanning electron microscope(SEM) and N2 adsorption-desorption. Some results are as follows.(1)The as-obtained Ti O2/SBA-15 photocatalysts possessed a better mesoporous structure and a larger specific surface area. The highly crystalline anatase Ti O2 nanocrystals dispersed well on the surface of SBA-15.Rhodamine B(Rh B), as a photodegradation target, was used to evaluate photocatalytic performance under UV light irradiation. The as-obtained Ti O2/SBA-15 photocatalysts exhibited much better photocatalytic activity compared with SBA-15.(2) Fe-Ti O2/SBA-15 and Cu-Ti O2/SBA-15 catalysts, Ti O2 nanoparticles well dispersed on SBA-15 supporter with Fe Cl3?6H2O and Cu Cl2?2H2O respectively, have been successfully obtained through a self-assembly aging, carboxylation and subsequent solvothermal process. The results of characterization and photochemical catalysis experiment showed that the crystalline anatase Ti O2 nanocrystals dispersed well on the surface of SBA-15 and metal ions has entered into the Ti O2 crystal lattice, reduced the integrity of crystalline Ti O2.There is no effect on structure of SBA-15 and significantly improve the photocatalytic activity of Ti O2 with a small amount of metal ion doping.
