With the rapid development of information technology and the arrival of the digital age, The main areas of computer applications has gradually shifted transaction processing from scientific computing. Computer-aided technology has become one of the most important applications. Computer simulation technology of casting process can effectively shorten the production cycle, reduce production costs. The project has stepped in practical stage and been used to predict and simulate mold filling and solidification processes by more and more casting companies.In this paper, we design the casting process of large machine bed casting combined with the actual situation of production, and apply AnyCasting-casting simulation software for filling and solidification of the cast. Details are as follows:Build three-dimensional model of the bed by UG, analyze the structural characteristics and failure modes of the casting, determine the casting material, melt the ingredients, get the liquid of the metal that meet the requirements of component. According to and the principles of casting processing design, considering the alloy type and production condition, determine pit model EPS casting and the process parameters and stepped gating system with multi-runner. According to the casting processing set the parameters needed in AnyCasting and mesh the model.Simulate the temperature field and the flow field of the casting processing under the10 kinds of casting conditions. After calculation solving, obtain the results of simulation.Analyze the simulation results to predict the possible casting defects, improve riser and chill casting process, optimize the casting process,simulate again,compare the result test the defect can be eliminated.The result shows that when pit modeling and stepped gating system with Multi-runner were applied, the filling temperature is 1350℃, the filling velocity is 2.10m/s, pouring system enables fast, smoothly and completely filling, and obtain castings of precise size and outline clear. The internal defects of casting will be effectively controlled.
