With the development of science and technology, known as the \ "industrial monosodium glutamate\" status of rare earth elements is higher and higher. After nearly half a century mining, rare earth rich ore was quickly exploitation, rare earth industry in China has proven reserves decline year by year. Ion adsorption type rare earths is peculiar to the south of rare earth resources in our country, the reserve-production ratio dropped year by year, has 20 years ago by 50 down to 15 now. At present, the ion adsorption type rare earths proven industrial reserves o f about 1.5 million t, and half of weathering ion adsorption type rare-earth lean ore reserves is about industrial reserves of more than 30 times, obviously, half weathering ion adsorption type re the development and utilization of lean ore is an important approach to expand the rare earth resources. This thesis somewhere in the southern half of weathering of ionic type rare-earth ore as the research object, has carried on the process mineralogy research, analysis of the occurrence state, determine the content of rare earth in each grade.(1) of rare earths is greater than 0.8 mm graded accounted for 68.66% of the total, and the ion phase in which content is 61.23%, so the rare earth ions mainly occurs in the middle of the coarse grained, with general of ionic type rare-earth ore a significant difference between the two.(2) the grade of water soluble phase increases with the reduction of grain size increased after decreased first, and particle size have no obvious linear relationship. Colloidal phase, mineral phase with the decrease of the particle size. Grade continuously decreased, while ion phase on the other hand, slowly increase with the decrease of the grain size grade. For the rare earth extraction, respectively using ammonium sulfate, HT- 6, HT-10 half-and- half weathering ion adsorption type rare earth ore leaching study.Column leaching test research shows that:(1) ammonium sulfate column leaching optimum leaching conditions as follows: ammonium sulfate concentration was 2.5%, the leaching leaching rate is 0.4 m L/min, eluent solid ratio was 0.4:1, the tail water liquid-solid ratio was 0.6:1, under the condition of the rare earth leaching rate was 96.02%, the production unit consumption of rare earth oxide agents for 12.44 t;(2) the HT- 6 column leaching optimum leaching conditions as follows: HT- 6 concentration was 2%, the eluent solid ratio was 0.4:1, the tail water liquid-solid ratio was 0.6:1, drench the leaching rate of 0.4 m L/min, under the condition of the rare earth leaching rate was 95.55%, the production unit consumption of rare earth oxide agents for 10 t;(3) the HT- 10 column leaching optimum leaching conditions as follows: HT- 10 concentration was 1.5%, the eluent solid ratio was 0.4:1, the tail water liquid-solid ratio was 0.6:1, the leaching rate of 0.4 m L/min, under the condition of the rare earth leaching rate was 97.69%, the production unit consumption of rare earth oxide agents as 7.34 t.(4) aluminum leaching from leaching reagent concentration and the leaching speed, along with the increase of leaching time, its content will continue to increase.
