In recent decades the study of the microemulsions and its application field have been widened.Traditional microemulsion system is composed of water, oil and surfactant. Because water and organic solvents have a narrow scope of liquid stability,ionic liquids was used to instead of one, two or even three components. Therefor ionic liquid microemulsions have received great attention.As a part of the project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(No.21473050),several kinds of functional ionic liquids were synthesized and their physicochemical properties and related microemulsions were investigated. The main research content includes the following components.1. A series of imidazole magnetic ionic liquids and cholinium magnetic ionic liquids [N1,1,nEtOH]FeCl4(n=4,6,8,10) were synthesized and purified. The phenomenon of the lower critical solution temperature of the systems composed of these magnetic ionic liquids and water was studied and the solubility curves of the systems were drawn.Then the influence of the alkyl chain length and head base on the solubility curve was analyzed and discussed.2. A series of cholinium magnetic ionic liquids[N1,1,nEtOH]FeCl4(n=4,6,8,10) were synthesized.The microemulsions composed of these ionic liquids as polar solvents and nonpolar solvents were studied.The phase equilibrium properties of these systems were investigated. The influence of the alkyl chain length on phase equilibrium properties was analyzed and discussed.Then the structure of the microemulsion was determined by using electrochemical method.Finally the particle size of the micro-aggregates was characterized using dynamic light scattering technology.3.Ionic liquids [N1,1,14EtOH][Tf2N],[bbim][Tf2N] and [N1,1,1EtOH][COOCH2CH2OH] were synthesized and purified. The phase equilibrium properties of microemulsion system composed of the three kinds of ionic liquids were studied. The phase diagram was drawn.The aggregation of ionic liquid surfactant in solvent ionic liquid was characterized by surface tension methods. The structure of the aggregation was characterized by TEM.
