Based on the unique electrical magnetic, thermology, optical properties and some special purposes such as quantum size effect, macroscopic quantum tunneling effect, volume effect and surface effect, the nano-particles have been interested to study widely by scientists and technicists.In this paper, the main study are focused on the extinction coefficient and optical property of silver nano-particles glass. The speciality curves of silver nano-particles are analyzed numerically with variations of diameter, length-diameter ratio and volume fraction, which can provide some theoretical guidance towards the research and manufacture.It is shown in conclusion that peak value of extinction of nano-particles glass can be red-shifted during the increasing of the draw ratio in the glass substrate, the extinction peak value can be more larger for parallel incident than that for vertical incident to the long axis of silver nano-particles, and the extinction performance of silver glass can be improved by optimizing the size of nano-particles, the major radius of ellipsoid and the value fraction of silver in the glass substrate.
